It’s time to dust off your long lost fondue pot. This ‘60s and 70s-era dinner party staple is cool again. Make this recipe—featuring seasonal fruits that taste even more delicious dipped in chocolate—for any occasion, from a cozy night in for two, to après ski cocktails with friends.

Chocolate Fondue
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cook Time: 15 minutes

Inspired by Hygge (pronounced “Hoo-gah”), the Danish concept of staying cozy during colder months, this fondue pairs marzipan and winter fruits with dark and milk chocolate.
Steps
- In a medium bowl, combine chocolates.
- In a pot set over medium heat, bring cream just to a simmer, taking care it does not overflow. Pour cream over chocolate so it is completely covered and let stand until chocolate has melted, about 2 minutes. Stir with a spatula until mixture is smooth and shiny. Transfer to a fondue pot and set over low heat. Serve with marzipan, citrus and persimmons.
